1. Getting started
Signing up takes a minute; no card required.
- Sign up — With email or Google. A 7-day trial and 100 credits are added automatically — no card needed.
- Your workspace is created — Every account gets its own workspace: your products, images and brand are visible only to you.
- Watch your credit balance — The badge in the top right shows what is left. Settings → Credits breaks down what you spent it on.
A credit is the single currency for every AI operation in GemKit. You never pay for work you did not run.
2. Set up Brand Brain first (recommended)
Set it once — every image and every text comes out in that identity.
Brand Brain holds your colours, fonts, logo, tone of voice and target customer. You can generate without it (defaults apply), but if you want on-brand output, start here.
- Brand interview — a question-and-answer chat that builds it from scratch (free).
- Set up from a document — upload a catalogue or brand deck and let GemKit fill it in.
- Voice wizard — derives your brand voice from listings you already wrote.
- Model library — save named models (“Ayşe”, “Defne”) and pick them by name when generating.
- Background library — save your own scenes (marble table, linen cloth…) and set a default.
3. Uploading products and naming photos
A phone photo is enough. File names raise quality for free.
Products → “New product” to upload. The letter at the end of the file name tells GemKit what that photo is FOR, and each frame is read according to its role.
- -a → main shot: the piece is sharp and fully visible. Identity comes from this frame.
- -b → detail/macro: stone, clasp, texture. Used for texture only.
- -ca → context/poor frame: cluttered, distant or dim. IGNORED for identity (a single “-c” does not do this).
- -da → the piece being WORN: a true-scale reference that keeps on-model sizing honest.
- Several photos of the same role? Use two letters: necklace-a.jpg, necklace-ba.jpg, necklace-bb.jpg.
- A trailing number means a separate variation: necklace-1-a.jpg is variation 1’s main photo.
Naming is optional — GemKit guesses if you skip it. It only improves the hit rate.
4. Approve the classification (human gate #1)
AI identifies the piece; you have the final word.
As soon as the upload finishes, GemKit proposes category, metal, plating and stone. Fix anything wrong on the product page and hit “Approve classification”. No images can be generated before that — because wrong product facts leak into every image and every listing.
After approval the SKU is built automatically and updates itself when category, plating or stone changes.
5. Generating images (human gate #2)
Approve what you like, regenerate what you don’t.
- White background — the marketplace standard; required for listings and video.
- Detail — macro of the stone and the craft.
- On-model (try-on) — worn at true body scale.
- Lifestyle — a styled scene in your brand’s world.
- Concept/editorial, full-body model, gift-packaging frames.
- Infographics and social creatives — drawn in code with your palette and fonts, free of charge.
Not happy with a frame? Hit “Regenerate”: pick a chip (size, colour, model/pose, deformation) or write your own sentence, and GemKit turns it into a precise instruction for the AI. Rejected frames leave your catalogue and are archived.
Not every frame lands on the first try — that is normal. The first generation costs 3 credits, a regeneration 1 credit, and an image can be regenerated up to 4 times.
6. Video
An 8-second, 9:16 vertical product video. It unlocks once you have at least 1 approved white-background frame AND 1 approved lifestyle/on-model frame — one carries the product identity, the other the mood.
- Fast video: 20 credits — for everyday use.
- High-quality video: 50 credits — paid plans only.
- You can steer it in your own words (camera move, pace, scene).
7. Listing copy
With one approved white-background frame, the Listing page unlocks. Choose a platform (Etsy / Shopify / Generic) and GemKit writes 3 title options, a description, tags and a price suggestion. Everything is editable inline and saves itself.
Listing copy is written from the product’s STORED facts — the AI does not look at your photos while writing. That is why the classification approval matters.
8. Social content
The Social page writes separate copy and hashtags for Pinterest, Instagram and TikTok, taking your brand voice, your target customer and the month’s occasions (birthstone, holidays, season) into account.
- Social creatives (pin, banner, quote card) are drawn in code — palette, fonts and logo exactly yours.
- Connect Pinterest and publish a pin in one click.
- Direct posting to Instagram/TikTok does not exist yet — download the copy and the image and post it yourself.
9. Downloads and sales channels
- Original size — download the generated frame as it is.
- Platform sizes — ready crops for Etsy, Shopify, Instagram, Pinterest and TikTok; padding can be white or your brand colour.
- Etsy pack — images plus title, description and tags in one bundle; you upload it and press Publish yourself.
- One-click Shopify drafts: coming very soon. Today you download the pack and upload it yourself.
- B2B catalogue — share your approved products with a wholesaler through a link, with cost-based prices.
10. Pricing engine
Live gold/silver rates plus the piece’s weight, your labour and your plating cost produce a suggested retail price. Gold uses milyem, silver uses labour per gram, and plating is costed per gram. The Etsy breakdown also accounts for profit margin, ad share and commission.
11. When something looks stuck
- “Generate” is disabled → Did you approve the classification? Do you have enough credits?
- “I can’t make a video” → You need 1 approved white-background frame + 1 approved lifestyle/on-model frame.
- “The Listing page is locked” → At least one approved white-background frame is required.
- “Generation is slow” → Images take 30–60s, video 2–5 minutes. You can close the page; the job keeps running.
- “The image doesn’t look like my piece” → Reject it with a reason, or say what you want in Regenerate. The sharper and closer your source photo, the more faithful the result.
- “I ran out of credits” → Buy a pack in Settings → Credits; monthly credits refill with your subscription.
